DISCIPLINE PLAN

Any discipline problems that come up during practice will be addressed immediately and the swimmer will be given a second chance to improve their conduct and continue practice. If the problem continues and becomes a disruption to the other members, the swimmer will be removed from the pool and Coach Garza will determine the punishment based on dry land exercises. If the bad behavior continues, the child will be asked to leave practice. The parents will be advised of the reason for this action and informed as to when the swimmer can return to practice. If misconduct occurs more than twice, the swimmer may then be asked to sit out the remainder of the season and try again the following year. A refund will not be given to the family if this occurs.

PRACTICE REQUIREMENTS
1. Swimmers must bring a tote bag with their full name on it to hold all personal items (beach towel, goggles, swim cap, etc.) while attending practice. Please make sure all items are clearly labeled also, this will help to eliminate lost items. AST is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
2. Girls will be required to wear a one-piece competition type swimsuit at all practices and meets.
3. Boys will be required to wear jammers or Speedo briefs at all practices and meets.
4. Boys and Girls are required to wear swim caps at all practices and meets.
5. All swimmers are responsible for initialing the ATTENDANCE ROSTER themselves, prior to daily practice.
6. Swimmers attending 3 or 4 of the four weekly practices will be eligible to participate in that week's swim meet.
7. Swimmers attending 2 practices will be eligible only if there is a shortage of swimmers in their age group to fill the events. (In most cases, these swimmers will not go due to the number of members on the team.)
8. Swimmers attending 1 or NO practice sessions will not be eligible to swim in that week's meet unless the swimmer has permission from Coach Matt Garza.
9. If a swimmer is more than 20 minutes late that day, it will not count as a full practice.

POOL RULES
1. Observe and abide by all pool rules at all times! (No horseplay, running, pushing, etc.)
